The heated rivalry between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox makes another postseason appearance in this year’s ALDS. While many have picked Boston to emerge victorious, former Red Sox and Yankees outfielder Johnny Damon thinks differently.
In an interview with TMZ Sports, Damon made it clear where his allegiances are. While he played four seasons for each team and won a World Series in both cities, the lines have now been drawn.
If any bridges were remaining with Boston’s fan base, they’re certainly burned now after Damon pledged his allegiance. But none of it will matter to the Red Sox if they knock out the Yankees, especially if they get to celebrate at Yankee Stadium.
