Former Ohio State quarterback Jack Miller III is transferring to Florida to play for new coach Billy Napier.

“Excited to get to work!” Miller tweeted Tuesday with an image of himself in a Gators uniform.

Miller, a redshirt freshman who was the Buckeyes’ third-string quarterback this season, entered the transfer portal three weeks ago. He completed 7 of 14 passes for 101 yards in four games as a backup to Heisman Trophy finalist C.J. Stroud.

Miller was a four-star recruit in the Class of 2020, ranked as the nation’s No. 13 pro-style QB by the 247Sports composite.

A spot opened up in Gainesville last week when starting quarterback Emory Jones announced his plans to transfer.

Jones passed for 2,563 yards with 19 touchdowns and 13 interceptions this season for Florida (6-6), which finishes the season Thursday night in the Gasparilla Bowl against UCF (8-4) in Tampa, Fla.
