Organizers on Monday announced 11 of the 16 teams that will compete at the $250,000 Intel Extreme Masters Dallas event that runs from May 29-June 4.
The remaining five Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams will be filled through open and closed qualifiers that begin next month.
Six teams were invited as ESL partners: Complexity Gaming, ENCE, FURIA Esports, G2 Esports, Heroic and Team Liquid. Four others were invited based on ESL world rankings: FaZe Clan, MOUZ and Outsiders, with a fourth still to be determined. Evil Geniuses received a Local Hero invitation.
Two more teams will qualify from Europe, plus one qualifier apiece from the North America, South America and Oceania regions.
First prize for IEM Dallas is $100,000 plus 2,400 BLAST Premier points and automatic qualification for IEM Cologne 2023.
