For the price of a new car, three lucky people will be watching Game 5 of the 2016 NBA Finals from courtside seats.
Darren Rovell of ESPN reports the three seats cost $17,000 each, which works out to $51,000 in total.
Perhaps the Cavaliers players who turned down $1,300 seats for their friends and family have reconsidered, in light of how much others are paying to get into these games.
Supply and demand is a funny thing.
The demand for tickets to see the Warriors potentially repeat as NBA champs Monday night is at an all-time high. After splitting the games in Cleveland, Golden State has a chance to close out the series in Game 5, already up 3-1 in this series.
One player who might not be able to play is Draymond Green. The NBA is investigating his tap down under on LeBron James in Game 4 (watch here).
After narrowly escaping a suspension in the Western Conference Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder, he’ll certainly be suspended if the Association deems his strike to James’ jewels was intentional.
Even without Green, the Warriors will likely be heavily favored to win at home Monday. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson both woke up in Game 4 to score a combined 63 points after being shut down for the most part in the first three games of the series.
Tip-off is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET at Oracle Arena on Monday, June 13.
