Former Penn State quarterback Will Levis is transferring to Kentucky.

Levis made the announcement Friday on social media. He said last month that he would be leaving the Nittany Lions after he had more rushing than passing attempts in his career.

As a graduate transfer, he is eligible to play immediately and is expected to compete with Joey Gatewood and Beau Allen in Lexington for the starting job.

In two seasons at Penn State, he appeared in 15 games with two starts. He completed 61 of 102 pass attempts for 644 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. He carried the ball 133 times for 473 yards and six touchdowns.

With the Nittany Lions, he was unable to snatch the starting role from Sean Clifford, who won the job before the 2019 season as Trace McSorley’s replacement.

A member of the Class of 2018, he will be a redshirt junior.
