It seems that the person able to have a perfect March Madness bracket will win a prize that is literally, out of this world.
One of the most exciting periods in sports is upon us. Following selection Sunday, the First Four of the 2025 NCAA basketball tournament will kick off on Tuesday. That will be followed by the start of the first round of the tourney on Thursday. And that is when the madness will really get rolling.

March Madness is a moment in time each year that captures the interest of both diehard and very casual college basketball fans. The main reason is the chance to win big rewards in pools to predict who will either reach the Final Four or win the National Championship.
However, with 64 teams involved, perfectly picking the entire March Madness bracket is impossible. To be exact, the chance of a perfect bracket is as much as 1 in 120 billion. That may be why Elon Musk, with the help of Uber Eats, made a bizarre offer to the person who puts together a perfect bracket in a new contest on X.
Perfect March Madness bracket will win a trip to Mars?

Starting yesterday, X — in conjunction with Uber Eats — is running a March Madness contest. That is nothing out of the ordinary since bracket challenges are all over the place. However, this one offers a prize that no one else can.
A trip to outer space with a specific destination. That unique destination being Mars, of course. X is owned by the richest man on planet Earth, Elon Musk. His other company Space X has been working on trying to eventually land a human on Earth. If a person can get a perfect bracket in the X contest, they will be on one of those future flights to the red planet.
It is an amazing prize that only Musk would be able to offer. However, he is also a businessman. He knows the odds of actually pulling off a perfect March Madness bracket. That is why he probably isn’t too worried about one college basketball fan taking up a seat on one of Space X’s flights to Mars. No one has ever had a perfect bracket and only a select few have even got every pick right up to the Sweet 16.
Fans can take part up in the contest until Thursday afternoon.
