In some absolutely horrible news, veteran Philadelphia Eagles running back Darren Sproles will be out for the remainder of the season after he reportedly suffered a broken arm and a torn ACL on the same play against the New York Giants on Sunday.
Eagles RB Darren Sproles tore his ACL and broke his arm on same play, sources tell @mortreport and me. Surgery on arm today, knee later.

As you can see, Sproles was initially hit in the arm. He then went to the ground holding his knee. It’s a freakish and devastating injury, one that could potentially lead to his retirement. According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, that was a possibility prior to his injury on Sunday.
Sproles, 34, is in his 13th NFL season. He’s put up over 8,000 total yards with 52 touchdowns en route to earning three trips to the Pro Bowl throughout a stellar career.
