Draymond Green ejected after stomping on Domantas Sabonis

It seems Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green can’t play two games without getting involved in some type of drama, whether it’s off the court, or on the floor. In the midst of a fierce NBA Playoff battle with the Warriors heading into Game 2 of their series matchup against the Sacramento Kings, Green once again found himself at the center of controversy on Monday night.

Green’s latest incident came with just 7:03 remaining in the fourth quarter, with the Warriors trailing 91-87. The play in question occurred after Stephen Curry grabbed a defensive rebound, with Green and Kings All-Star Domantas Sabonis getting in a bit of a scrum.

Only, Sabonis found himself on the floor, with Green’s foot apparently lodged underneath the Kings star. Green lifted his foot, only to land it on the chest of Sabonis, which the referees saw as a hostile act. Green was then assessed with a flagrant 2 foul, with the former Defensive Player of the Year ejected from the game.

Here’s the controversial play that got Green ejected.

While the NBA reviewed the play during commercial break, Green could be seen talking smack to random fans in attendance at the Golden 1 Center, seemingly feeding off their energy.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see how Green would respond with his play on the court. If he doesn’t face any further discipline, that revenge will have to wait until Game 3, which heads to the Chase Center on Thursday with the Kings taking a 2-0 lead in the series.
