Dplus, LNG score wins at Swiss Stage of Worlds

Dplus stayed alive and LNG Esports continued their strong play Friday in Swiss Stage action at the 2023 League of Legends World Championship.

Dplus eliminated GAM Esports by sweeping a Round 4 Low Match and LNG defeated KT Rolster 2-1 in a Round 4 High Match.

Dplus posted a pair of 26-minute wins, first on blue and then on red. GAM finished in 12th-14th place, earning just over $71,000 USD.

LNG opened with a 35-minute win on red, then followed up KT’s Game 2 triumph on blue with a decisive victory on blue.

Competition continues Saturday with a pair of Round 4 High Matches as NRG take on G2 Esports and T1 clash with Bilibili Gaming.

After the Swiss Stage, the $2.225 million world championship advances to the knockout stage. All rounds are being contested in venues in South Korea. The knockout round concludes with the Nov. 19 grand final at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.
