Miami Dolphins quarterback Teddy Bridgewater exited Sunday’s game against the host New England Patriots in the third quarter with an injured finger on his right hand.
Bridgewater was seen on the sideline with his helmet off and trainers tending to his hand. Bridgewater appeared to sustain the injury after throwing an interception that was returned for a touchdown with just under three minutes left before the fourth quarter.
Prior to exiting, Bridgewater completed 12 of 19 passes for 161 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He drew the start on Sunday in place of Tua Tagovailoa, who is in concussion protocol.
Rookie Skylar Thompson took over under center for Bridgewater, who is questionable to return.
