According to CBS Sports NFL insider Jason La Canfora, Timmons did make the trip to Southern California with the team. However, his whereabouts are currently unknown.

This is definitely an alarming situation. There’s no indication that Timmons himself is injured. Instead, he has seemingly left the team without notice.
As it relates to the Dolphins, they’re currently deciding what to do with the linebacker.
Timmons, 31, played each of his first 10 NFL seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers before signing a free agent deal in Miami this past spring. A former Pro Bowler, he’s expected to be a key cog on defense for the Dolphins this season.
We’ll have further updates as they become available.
