Dolphins’ Frank Gore carted off field with ankle injury

Miami Dolphins running back and future Hall of Famer Frank Gore has been a model of consistently. He has not missed a game since all the way back in 2010 and has put up 1,200-plus total yards in each of the past 12 seasons.

Both of these streaks could now be in jeopardy. Gore exited Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings with what appeared to be a serious ankle injury. In fact, he was carted off the field to the locker room.

This is some potentially bad news for a Dolphins team that entered Week 15 with a 7-6 record and clearly in the AFC Playoff race.

Gore, 35, has put up 832 total yards and is averaging a robust 4.7 yards per carry in his first season with the Dolphins.
