Dez Bryant Remains Confident After Cowboys’ Disastrous Loss

The Dallas Cowboys suffered a disastrous home loss to the Philadelphia Eagles last Thursday. However ugly that game was, Cowboys’ wide receiver Dez Bryant remains confident the team will pull itself together and finish strong in December.

Bryant had these encouraging comments to share after the team’s loss (via ESPNDallas.com).

But I can say the feeling is a lot different. This is the beginning for us. The beginning of December for us. So we’ll see. We’re excited about the work that we’ve put in, and we can only go from there.

Our approach. Everybody wants to get better. Just by the little things. Not making the cold weather a big issue. Just go out there and understand what’s important. That’s the opportunity that we have to go out and get into the playoffs.

This sounds promising, but for those in doubt, we’ll need to see a turnaround as the Cowboys start off December in the chilly temperatures of Soldier Field this Thursday for a game against the Chicago Bears. Bryant did oddly enough make a reference to weather not being an issue, so we will see how that pans out.

As it stands now, the Cowboys are entering December 8-4. Hopefully history won’t repeat itself, because in 2011 and 2013, the Cowboys started out December with more wins than losses, but finished 8-8 at the end of the month.

Cowboys fans can only hope Bryant’s opinions and lecturing of his teammates will motivate the team into securing wins the remainder of the month.
