Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas is in the last year of his rookie contract and sources are reporting that a five-year contract negotiation is in progress with the teams’ star receiver. Tight end Julius Thomas is also in line to earn a bigger paycheck after this season.Â

For Demaryius Thomas, a contract valued at at least $10 million annually would put him in the range of fellow receivers Calvin Johnson and Mike Wallace. If no deal is agreed upon, the Broncos could place the franchise tag on him after the season ends, costing roughly $12.3 million.

Both Thomas’ put up major numbers in 2013, with over 2,100 receiving yards combined and a total of 26 touchdowns.
