Colts OC has a very interesting quote about Scott Tolzien

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Scott Tolzien

The Indianapolis Colts will head into Los Angeles to take on the Rams with Scott Tolzien under center this upcoming Sunday. For a team that’s paying the injured Andrew Luck $24.6 million annually, that’s most definitely a less-than-ideal scenario.

Potentially looking to put a happy face on a dumpster fire of a situation, Colts offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski had a pretty glorious quote about Tolzien heading into the season opener.

“He doesn’t have to be Andrew Luck,” the offensive coordinator said. “He needs to be the best Scott Tolzien he can be.”

Suddenly, it seems that Chud has morphed into Stuart Smalley from Saturday Night Live with the Colts’ version of the Daily Affirmation.

What is the best Scott Tolzien he can be? Here’s a guy that’s thrown two touchdowns compared to seven interceptions in nine career games (three starts).

To say he’s not Andrew Luck would be an understatement. But even if Tolzien were the best he could possibly be, would it be enough for the Colts to win Week 1? We’re not entirely too sure.

At the very least, Chudzinski provided us with an awesome quote leading up to what should be an otherwise uneventful Week 1 game in Los Angeles.
