Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence exits game after big sideline hit

Things are going from bad to worse for Clemson this Saturday. Already down 13-7 at home to Syracuse, the Tigers were moving the ball on offense when freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence took a big hit on the left sideline and stayed down.

The freshman was able to get up under his own power but looked woozy. After he was examined, he had his helmet taken away and was walked into the locker room for further evaluation, indicating a concussion.

Lawrence was named the starter by head coach Dabo Swinney this week, which prompted former starter Kelly Bryant to announce he was transferring. Needless to say, this injury took the air right out of Clemson Memorial Stadium.

Before his injury, Lawrence had completed 10-of-15 passes for 93 yards.

UPDATE: Lawrence is not expected to return to this game.
