While the Bradley Beal trade to the Phoenix Suns is not 100% official, the general framework sending the 3x All-Star out of town has been worked out. Part of that deal includes sending Chris Paul from Phoenix to the Washington Wizards, but no one expects the 38-year-old point guard to play out the string of his career with a non-contender.
Instead, Paul, who’s still seeking the first NBA Finals win of his career, is expected to either be bought out from his contract or traded elsewhere. Possibly even as part of a three-team trade in the original Beal deal.
Rumors have suggested CP3 could be headed to the Los Angeles Lakers, where he’d team up with longtime pal LeBron James as they pursue another championship. Yet, more recent reports following the Beal trade have the Point God headed elsewhere instead.
According to Chris Haynes, Paul is “likely” to be sent to the Los Angeles Clippers, where he spent six seasons from 2011-17. If so, it would make a lot of sense for the Clips, who, like many other teams, are seeking an improvement at the point guard spot this summer.

Not to mention, Paul would be pairing up with two more All-Stars in Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, helping further their championship effort. Could head coach Tyronn Lue help lead this star-studded trio to the NBA Finals?
