In what hasn’t exactly been a good opening week of football for Andy Reid’s Kansas City Chiefs, Pro Bowl linebacker Derrick Johnson apparently suffered a torn achilles against the Tennessee Titans.Â

Johnson has recorded 100-plus tackles in each of the last four seasons and is coming off a season that saw him fill up the stat line. The former first-round pick tallied 4.5 sacks, two interceptions and seven passes defended in route to earning his third straight trip to the Pro Bowl.
With Johnson out of action, the Chiefs will now be forced to go with youngster James-Michael Johnson, who has nine career starts in two seasons.
