Chicago Bears Release Julius Peppers, To No One’s Surprise

After signing Lamarr Houston to a five-year, $35 million contract on Monday, the Chicago Bears have released veteran pass rusher Julius Peppers. This was a long time coming, especially considering Pepper’s dropoff in production last season and rather hefty price tag in 2014.
