On Wednesday, Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Carlos Gomez went absolutely ballistic in the dugout after striking out with two men on in the second inning.
I mean, he really had an epic meltdown, which included an explosive attack on a poor, innocent water cooler (watch here).
After the game, Gomez didn’t exactly show much remorse. In fact, his response when approached by media about the incident was pretty darn salty.
#Rays Gomez said it was a heat of the moment outburst stemming from ump not calling HBP before he struck out: “If I get fined I have enough money to pay it.”

The 32-year-old isn’t exactly wrong here. He is bringing in $4 million during the 2018 MLB season, which certainly will help withstand any fine he might be subject to.
Gomez also isn’t exactly new to this whole tantrum business, either. And based on his response here, that’s not a big deal to him.
