Fresh off a disappointing six-game series loss to the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference Finals, the Milwaukee Bucks are going to have a lot of decisions to make in free agency.
Milwaukee has seven pending free agents, including six core members of the team’s rotation. That includes a former All-Star center in Brook Lopez who played extremely well in his first season with the Bucks.
In talking to the media during his season-ending presser on Tuesday, Lopez made it clear that he wants to re-sign with Milwaukee.
This will certainly be easier said than done. Lopez, 31, signed a small one-year, $3.38 million deal with Milwaukee in free agency last summer. He’s going to get a major raise once the market opens in July.
A former All-Star with the Brooklyn Nets, Lopez averaged 12.5 points and 4.9 rebounds on a resounding 36% shooting from distance. His ability to stretch the court on offense will prove valuable in free agency.
Milwaukee also has to worry about re-signing the likes of Eric Bledsoe, Malcolm Brogdon and Khris Middleton, among others, in free agency.
