Cleveland Browns defensive lineman Perrion Winfrey was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault of a woman he was dating.
Winfrey was arrested Monday night in Harris County, Texas, according to court records. He is accused of causing bodily harm by grabbing her hand.
He was charged with one count of assault – family member and released after posting $1,000 bond.
A Browns spokesman said the team is “aware of the situation and gathering more information.”
Winfrey, 22, played in 13 games (no starts) last season as a rookie, recording 22 tackles and half a sack. He was selected in the fourth round of the 2022 draft.
