The Milwaukee Brewers announced Saturday that star center fielder Lorenzo Cain has informed them he has opted out of the remainder of the 2020 MLB season.
In the club’s announcement on Twitter, the Brewers expressed that they “fully support Lorenzo’s decision, and we will miss his talents on the field and leadership in the clubhouse.”
Cain appeared in five games for the Brewers before Saturday’s news broke. In 18 at-bats, he had six hits, two RBI and four runs, posting a .333 average.
