As the Milwaukee Brewers continue to fight for positioning in the N.L. Central, their efforts will be boosted thanks to the return of one of their top pitchers.
Milwaukee is activating right-handed pitcher Chase Anderson off the 10-day injured list after he missed two weeks with a blister on his right middle finger.
The righty returns to the 3.20 ERA and 1.27 WHIP with 22 strikeouts he posted in 19.2 innings this season. He started out in the bullpen before being moved into the starting rotation, where he found immediate success.
While Anderson hasn’t ever repeated the 2.74 ERA and 1.09 WHIP he recorded in 2017 with Milwaukee, the 31-year-old continues to provide a steady presence in the middle of Milwaukee’s rotation.
