After missing a month of action following an injury that many thought could be season-ending when it happened, Ronald Acuna is finally back.
The Atlanta Braves have activated Acuna ahead of Friday’s game against the St. Louis Cardinals.
The #Braves today made four roster moves, including returning OF Ronald Acuña Jr. from his rehabilitation assignment and reinstating him from the 10-day disabled list.

The Braves also recalled pitcher Matt Wisler from Triple-A Gwinnett. Acuna takes the roster spot vacated by Wes Parsons, who was optioned to the Stripers, as well. The Braves also placed pitcher Brandon McCarthy on the 10-day disabled list with right knee tendinitis.
Acuna is now fully recovered from the MCL sprain he suffered last month against the Boston Red Sox.
Before his injury, Acuña was hitting .265/.326/.453 with five home runs in 117 at-bats on the season. The Braves have continued to play exceptionally well this year, even without their up-and-coming star in the lineup. They currently sit atop the NL East with a record of 45-34.
