Brandt Snedeker withdrew from the World Wide Technology Championship on Saturday prior to the third round due to a rib injury.
Snedeker carded a 6-under-par 66 in the first round on Thursday and 2-under 70 in the second on Friday at the Tiger Woods-designed course of El Cardonal at Diamante in Los Cabos, Mexico. He sat in 27th place after the second round.
Snedeker, 42, returned in June following an extended absence after undergoing surgery on his sternum.
Snedeker is a nine-time winner on the PGA Tour. His last title came at the Wyndham Championship in August 2018. It was the second time he won the event after prevailing in 2007.
