Columbus Blue Jackets forward Patrik Laine is expected to miss two-to-four weeks due to a triceps strain, the team announced Friday.
Laine sustained the injury in practice on Thursday. He effectively could be done for the remainder of the season for the struggling Blue Jackets (22-41-7, 51 points), who conclude play on April 14.
Laine, 24, has 52 points (22 goals, 30 assists) in 55 games this season.
He has 379 points (198 goals, 181 assists) in 462 career games with the Jets and Blue Jackets since being selected by Winnipeg with the second overall pick of the 2016 NHL Draft.
