NASCAR fans are treated to a Saturday doubleheader at Talladega Superspeedway, with the Ag-Pro 300 as part of the Xfinity Series. What started as a perfect day for racing quickly took a bad turn when Dexter Stacey (No. 66) and Blaine Perkins (No. 2) collided, leading to a frightening scene.
Stacey appeared to suddenly lose control of his car, leading to a quick tap of Perkins’ ride, which led to the No. 2 car going sideways, leading the No. 5 car to cause Perkins’ vehicle to roll over several times.
Amazingly, everyone is said to be okay. But Perkins has since been transported to a local hospital where he’ll receive further medical treatment.
It’s incredible to think Perkins could experience such a violent accident and walk away from the scene. Just look at what remains of his car.
