Apparently trying to one-up Rodney Harrison, Bill Romanowski spewed a pretty nasty line of commentary when asked how he’d stop Cam Newton if he were playing in Super Bowl 50.
Here is Romanowski discussing it with Bleacher Report:
Bill Romanowski on how he’d stop Cam: I would hit him as hard as possible then try to choke him under the pile.https://t.co/nIuvWGVc2i

Choking someone out under the pile? Really, Romo?
That said, anyone who has followed Romanowski over the years isn’t actually too shocked to hear him utter these words.
An admitted steroid user, he’s always been a bit over-the-top when it comes to his attitude to the game of football. He, who once spit right in J.J. Stokes’ face, is probably not kidding about trying to choke out Newton, as crazy as that is.
A day earlier, Harrison said he’d try to take out Newton’s knees and knock him out of the game to ensure victory for his team, if he were playing in Super Bowl 50.
Maybe Romo and Harrison are correct in assuming the only way the Carolina Panthers will lose Sunday is if Newton is somehow knocked out of the game. They’re certainly making themselves look bad in the process, though.
