There are few things better than Thanksgiving. It’s a time when everyone can eat delicious food all day and watch football all day. It’s also a topic that seems to bring the spirit out of New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.
Speaking to reporters on Friday, Belichick opened up about his love for Thanksgiving and what makes the special Holiday so wonderful.
Belichick’s love for all Thanksgiving food, especially his correct opinion on desert being served first, captures the warmer side of a head coach that many see as colder and closed off.
Belichick recounted what makes this time of year so special for him and his family, highlighting the Army-Navy game and even reflecting on his high school football memories.
Fortunately for the Patriots and Belichick, he’ll be able to spend that special day with his family. New England isn’t playing on Thanksgiving this year, so that will mean even more time with family to watch football and eat food.
