For 23 years in a row, Tom Brady suited up to play quarterback for either the New England Patriots or Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Then, suddenly after the 2022 season, TB12 retired, seemingly for good. However, now Brady could be considering taking a page out of his former teammate Rob Gronkowski’s playbook by taking a year off before returning for one final run.
Recently, Brady was asked if he’s had thoughts of returning to the NFL, and he admitted there’s been some consideration. He suggested that if the right situation arose, it’s possible Brady would legitimately consider an NFL comeback, but where would the future Hall of Fame QB go?
Now, some betting odds have emerged for Brady’s next team if he were to unretire. To no surprise, the QB-needy Las Vegas Raiders lead the way.
Tom Brady next team odds
Las Vegas Raiders | +125 |
New England Patriots | +300 |
Tampa Bay Buccaneers | +500 |
San Francisco 49ers | +900 |
Miami Dolphins | +1200 |
New York Jets | +2000 |
Any NFL Team | +500 |
Barring an injury to their starter, we can rule out some of these teams right away. As great as Brady is, he won’t be joining the Buccaneers, 49ers, Dolphins, or Jets unless their star QB gets hurt.
Yet, the Raiders, who Brady has been trying to become a minority owner of, could certainly use a veteran mind like Brady until they find their future franchise QB. The Patriots could make some sense too, but that roster needs a lot of work.
Brady mentioned he’s “not opposed” to coming back in the right situation. We just don’t know if that spot exists since most teams with a roster ready to contend already have an established starter.
