BetBoom Team and Team Falcons advanced to the upper-bracket final with victories Tuesday at the $1 million BetBoom Dacha Dubai tournament in the United Arab Emirates.
BetBoom Team swept Gaimin Gladiators, winning in 28 minutes on green and in a 73-minute marathon on red.
The Falcons rallied to defeat Azure Ray 2-1. Azure Ray opened with a 37-minute win on green but the Falcons answered with 39- and 31-minute victories on red.
Gaimin Gladiators and Azure Ray dropped into the lower-bracket quarterfinals of the Dota 2 competition and will meet Team Liquid and Team Spirit, respectively, on Wednesday.
The double-elimination playoff stage runs through Friday. All matches are best of three except for the best-of-five grand final.
