Bengals name Andy Dalton starting QB for Week 13

First-year Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor does not want to finish his initial season in what role without a single victory.

Desperate to get into the win column following an 0-11 start to the season, Cincinnati is going back to veteran quarterback Andy Dalton for next week’s game against the red-hot New York Jets.

You read that right. The winless Bengals are turning back to a quarterback that they benched on his birthday earlier this season.

At this point, most Bengals fans are hoping the team doesn’t win a game this season. They have a two-game lead for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. That’s more important than a lame-duck quarterback leading the team to a win.

Rookie fourth-round pick Ryan Finley has started each of the past three games. He’s completing 47% of his passes for just 474 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions during that span.
