BC’s A.J. Dillon predicted his freaky combine performance two years ago

Former Boston College running back A.J. Dillon stunned the NFL draft community at the Combine Friday with an incredible performance he predicted two years prior.

Back in March of 2018, Dillon tweeted that he’d be 245 pounds, put up 30 reps on the bench, run the 40 in 4.47 seconds and jump 41 inches in the vertical. He included a message of “Save this tweet.”

Then on Friday, Dillon, at 247 pounds, recorded the best vertical of the running backs, nailing his prediction with a 41-inch leap.

He nearly reached his prediction in the 40 running it in an unofficial 4.53 seconds.

When it came to the bench, Dillon fell short, putting up 225 pounds 23 times. But that’s still darn impressive.

Dillon was a star at Boston College who racked up 4,618 yards and 40 touchdowns from scrimmage the past three years. He’s a huge back who has plenty of speed in the open field, and he may end up being a steal in the middle rounds.
