Well, that whole idea didn’t last too long. One day after reports broke that Baylor head football coach Matt Rhule had interviewed for the vacant Indianapolis Colts head coaching job, Rhule has reportedly taken himself out of the running.
#Baylor coach Matt Rhule, following an interview with the #Colts, has informed the team that he elected to remain with his school, source said. … Yes, he has rhuled Indy out.

This isn’t a case of the Colts informing Rhule he is no longer a candidate. Instead, it’s all about the Baylor’ head coach telling the NFL team he’s remaining in college.
It’s a rather interesting dynamic to look at. And in reality, it could mean that all signs are pointing in the direction of New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels becoming the new Colts’ head coach.
Indianapolis is exclusively looking at offensive-minded candidates, and these are the only two who have interviewed at this point.
