Baker Mayfield took the field at Oklahoma on Wednesday for his pro day. While he was there, he made a major announcement that he’s joined forces with Nike on a sponsorship deal.

ESPN’s Darren Rovell noted Mayfield is the only quarterback from the 2018 NFL Draft class to sign with Nike so far.

Former Penn State running back Saquon Barkley was the first player from this year’s class to sign with the swoosh, and he landed his deal some time ago.
Both Barkley and Mayfield are expected to be early picks when the draft kicks off in April at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Though, Mayfield won’t be on hand, as he’s opted to stay away from the limelight on that special night.
