Azure Ray and Team Liquid survived in the lower bracket Wednesday at the $1 million BetBoom Dacha Dubai event in the United Arab Emirates.
Azure Ray swept Team Spirit and Liquid knocked out Gaimin Gladiators 2-1 to keep their hopes alive at the Dota 2 tournament.
AR and Liquid will meet Thursday with a spot in the lower-bracket final at stake.
BetBoom Team and Team Falcons will clash in the upper-bracket final on Thursday.
In Wednesday’s action, Azure Ray posted 53- and 46-minute wins on green against Spirit. Liquid sandwiched 26- and 50-minute wins on green around a GG’s 42-minute victory, also on green.
The double-elimination playoff stage runs through Friday. All matches are best of three except for the best-of-five grand final.
