Houston Astros infielder Alex Bregman pushed back hard against the notion that he wore any electronic devices as the team’s sign-stealing scandal continues to swirl.
Rumors began to circulate around social media that Bregman and Jose Altuve both wore buzzers as part of the scheme.
On Saturday, Mark Berman of Fox 26 in Houston reported Bregman saying he has never worn any electronic devices, and that he said the allegations are “stupid.”
For what it’s worth, MLB could not find any evidence that players were wearing electronic devices as part of the sign-stealing scheme.
