The Anaheim Ducks signed their top three 2021 draft picks — including No. 3 overall pick Mason McTavish — to three-year entry-level deals.
Defenseman Olen Zellweger, who was taken 34th overall in the second round, and right wing Sasha Pastujov, selected 66th overall in the third round, were the other two to ink deals on Friday.
McTavish, an 18-year-old center, most recently played for Olten EHC in the Swiss League, finishing with nine goals and two assists in 13 games and two goals and five assists in four playoff games.
McTavish played for the Peterborough Petes in the Ontario Hockey League in 2019-20, earning second-team all-rookie honors after scoring 29 goals and notching 13 assists in 57 games.
Zellweger, 17, played for the Everett Silvertips of the World Hockey League the last three seasons, finishing with career totals of four goals and 21 assists in 70 games.
Pastujov, 18, starred for the USA Hockey National Team Development Program’s U-18 team in 2020-21 with 30 goals and 35 assists in 41 games.
