Saudi Professional League club Al-Hilal has reportedly made a shocking offer to land Kylian Mbappe for just one season.
Things have started to get pretty ugly lately when it comes to Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain and their top stars. After months of negotiations, and a return seeming likely at one point, the team brought an end to their relationship with soccer icon Lionel Messi last month. Now, they are in the midst of major drama with national superstar Kylian Mbappe.

The 24-year-old let the club know recently that he too will depart after he finishes out the last year of his contract. After alleged flirtations with La Liga powerhouse Real Madrid last year, the assumption is that is where he is headed in 2024, and his disinterest in re-signing has reportedly enraged PSG boss Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
That displeasure has now led to a very awkward situation where the team recently left Mbappe off their offseason tour roster and all signs point to the club being open for business when it comes to a potential transfer. However, with the rumors of a move to Real Madrid, many clubs around the soccer world are wary of the high asking price for a star that is unlikely to return next year.
Saudi club offers to pay Kylian Mbappe over $330 million for one season
However, that is not at all scaring off SPL club Al-Hilal. On Monday, it was reported that the team has placed an unbelievable transfer bid for $332 million dollars. The bid is just for this season and the club reportedly has no concerns if Kylian Mbappe only plays in the SPL for the rest of 2023 before exiting to join Real Madrid next year.
While the offer may be shocking for casual soccer fans, SPL teams have made a scary reputation for using Saudi Arabian money to make outlandish offers to acquire stars from around the world. Al Nassar is currently paying legend Cristiano Ronaldo $300 million a season, and another club reportedly offered Messi $350 million before he chose to take his talents to Inter Miami in MLS.
Karim Benzema, Marcelo Brozovic, N’Golo Kante, and Roberto Firmino have also joined Ronaldo in the upstart league in recent months.
