Preseason depth charts don’t mean a whole heck of a lot. Miami Dolphins head coach Adam Gase, knowing this, took the opportunity to throw a curve ball recently.
Gase named Frank Gore and Kenyan Drake as either OR starters on the team’s first preseason depth chart of the 2018 campaign.
On Monday, he was asked what went into his decision. His response was absolutely priceless: “Just to be an a******,” Gase retorted, per Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald.
It’s nice to see Gase hasn’t lost his sense of humor. He’s entering an absolutely critical third season in Miami that could be his last if the Dolphins don’t make some significant progress.
In two seasons so far, Gase has guided Miami to a 16-16 overall record and lost his only playoff game.
