Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said Tuesday he plans to play in Week 13 at Chicago after getting “good news” from his scans.

Rodgers made the comments on the “Pat McAfee Show.”

Rodgers left Sunday night’s loss in Philadelphia with a rib injury. He was already dealing with an avulsion fracture in his right thumb, a revelation brought to light last week.

“I got good news on the scans,” Rodgers said on the show.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Monday that Rodgers was feeling better and would start if he’s able to play. LaFleur also said there’s no talk about shutting down Rodgers as long as the Packers are mathematically alive for a playoff berth.

“We got a chance to run the last five and see where we stand after that,” Rodgers told McAfee.

Backup Jordan Love threw a 63-yard touchdown pass to Christian Watson after Rodgers left the game on Sunday.

The Packers (4-8) visit NFC North rival Chicago (3-9) on Sunday. Green Bay won the first meeting in Week 2, 27-10.
