The New York Yankees landed the biggest fish in the MLB hot stove pond on Saturday making a trade with the Miami Marlins for Giancarlo Stanton. A bit later in the day, fellow slugger Aaron Judge — who beat Stanton in an epic Home Run Derby this past summer — welcomed his new teammate with an awesome tweet.
Hey @Giancarlo818….👊 pic.twitter.com/0542MWBIpv

No doubt, there’s a lot of truth in this short message. Opposing pitchers will be in a damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don’t situation every single game with Stanton and Judge positioned strategically in the same lineup.
Many fans across the MLB landscape are less than pleased by this development. But as a casual observer I can’t wait to see what the Yankees do at the plate with Stanton and Judge, not to mention Gary Sanchez and the other big bats in the Big Apple.
