Charles Woodson played in his last home game for the Oakland Raiders Thursday night on Christmas Eve. It was a triumphant moment for the future Hall of Famer. His teammates gave him the Gatorade bath treatment on the 50-yard line after the Raiders won the game 23-20 in overtime, and the spotlight was on him alone following the game.

Woodson spoke to the media in the post-game press conference about how wonderful it was to play in front of the Oakland crowd and how his teammates had wanted to win the game for him.

Then his son grabbed the microphone and gave his two cents about something of grave importance to him.

It’s hard to argue with that.

While Woodson may not be the best current player right now in the NFL, there is no doubt he’s one of the best to ever step foot on the gridiron.

He leaves a legacy of excellence behind him after he retires. Woodson is the only player in history with 60-plus interceptions and 20-plus sacks, he won a championship during his tenure with the Green Bay Packers and will surely be a first-ballot Hall of Famer in 2021 when he’s eligible to be inducted.
