As the NBA’s season continues to be suspended due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic plaguing the world, we have absolutely no idea when it will be business per usual around the Association.
What we do know is that everything is up in the air as the United States attempts to contain the outbreak.
Unfortunately for certain Sixers coaches and front office personnel, this uncertainty could follow them to their banking accounts.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, said individuals have until Thursday to agree to a 20% deduction in pay.
Woj goes on to note that those currently under contract must volunteer to give up that 20% in pay. I highly doubt that head coach Brett Brown and general manager Elton Brand will be willing to do that.
If not, it could lead to some major issues between the personnel men and Sixers billionaire owner Joshua Harris. It’s certainly something to keep an eye on.
