Patrick Mahomes TD

Down 3-0 late in the first quarter of Super Bowl LIV against the San Francisco 49ers, Andy Reid hedged his bets.

The Chiefs’ head coach decided to go for it on four-and-one from inside the 49ers’ 10-yard line. It was successful, leading to a one-yard touchdown run from Patrick Mahomes to take a 7-3 lead.

As you can tell, Mahomes surprised 49ers defenders by keeping the ball. It looked like he was going to toss it.

With San Francisco stuck between a rock and a hard place, Mahomes got into the end zone for the first touchdown of the big game.
