NFLPA temporarily tables vote on new CBA

The NFLPA will not vote on the proposed Collective Bargaining Agreement this Friday, setting up what could be a very tense next week.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Network shared Friday that the NFLPA’s board of representatives hopes to meet soon with the NFL Management Council Executive Committee and vote afterward.

So, it would seem that there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding this proposed deal, which has been strongly opposed by some of the NFL’s most prominent stars.

Earlier on Friday, the NFLPA’s executive committee voted against the proposed CBA by a 6-5 vote.

The NFL owners, in a statement released after they did approve the proposed CBA, said that the next season will fall under the 2011 CBA, which also holds the unspoken threat of a future lockout, if the NFLPA doesn’t approve in the next week.
