The Cleveland Browns had a horrible game in the desert Sunday, losing to the Arizona Cardinals, 38-24. In the process, they earned a dubious distinction.
As pointed out by SportsCenter on Twitter, with the loss, Cleveland became the only team in the NFL not to post a winning season this decade.
Sunday’s loss was a game that saw Cleveland’s defense collapse in on itself while Kenyan Drake and the Cardinals did pretty much whatever they wanted to. Meanwhile, the offense was a mess for most of the game outside of Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb — something that led to some heated words on the sideline directed at none other than head coach Freddie Kitchens.
The Browns have been awful throughout the decade, setting new NFL marks for futility while remaining the laughingstock of the league.
