The Golden State Warriors have been ravaged by injury during a 2019-20 campaign that currently has them with the worst record in the NBA.
At the very least, Steve Kerr and Co. will be getting one star back for Wednesday’s outing against the Charlotte Hornets.
Star guard D’Angelo Russell will return to action after missing the past nine games with a thumb injury.
Having been forced to play with eight or nine men for a vast majority of the season, this is a bit of a reprieve for Golden State.
Russell, 23, is averaging 24.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game this season. He rejoins a Warriors squad that heads into Wednesday’s action with a 4-18 record.
