The Oklahoma Sooners will be without starting safety Delarrin Turner-Yell, who suffered a broken collarbone, for the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl against LSU.
SoonerScoop, following up on a report from TFB Sooners, confirmed that Turner-Yell is out for the foreseeable future with the broken collarbone and will miss the College Football Playoff semifinal.
This is a huge blow to the team, which was already reeling in the wake of suspensions to three key players — starting defensive end Ronnie Perkins, running back Rhamondre Stevenson and receiver Trejan Bridges — for the coming Playoff game.
Turner-Yell started 13 games for the Sooners this season, tallying 75 tackles, including 5.5 for a loss, and one forced fumble.
